Manuscript Submission Guidelines

This document outlines the guidelines for submitting manuscripts to our journal. Please carefully review these instructions before preparing your submission.

Language:

Manuscripts must be submitted in both Tamil and British English.

Manuscript Format:

  • Length: The total length of your research paper should be between 8 and 15 pages, inclusive of references and appendices.
  • Font: Use Latha font for Tamil text and Times New Roman font for English text. The font size should be 12 for both languages.
  • Spacing: The manuscript should be formatted with 1.5 line spacing.
  • Margins: Use wide margins on all sides of the A4 size paper.
  • Conciseness: Authors are encouraged to write concisely and directly on their chosen topic.

Title Page:

The title page must include the following information:

  • Full name(s) of the author(s)
  • A concise and informative title for the article.
  • Affiliation(s) and full postal address(es) of the author(s).
  • Email address of the corresponding author.

Abstract:

  • Provide a concise abstract of 150 to 200 words.
  • Avoid the use of undefined abbreviations and citations within the abstract.

Keywords:

  • Include 4 to 6 relevant keywords for indexing purposes.

Article Structure:

Organize your article into clearly defined sections with appropriate headings and subheadings.

References and Citations:

  • Citation Style: Adhere to the latest edition of களஞ்சியம் – சர்வதேசத் தமிழ் ஆய்விதழ் (Tamil citation style) for Tamil references and the MLA Handbook (8th Edition) for English references.
  • In-text Citations: Ensure that every source cited within the text is also included in the reference list. Do not include citations in the abstract. All references must be properly authenticated and cited accurately.
  • Reference List: The reference list should be arranged alphabetically. Follow the specific guidelines of களஞ்சியம் – சர்வதேசத் தமிழ் ஆய்விதழ் (for Tamil entries) and the MLA Handbook (8th Edition) for English entries. Refer to these guides for instructions on formatting entries for journal articles, books, edited book chapters, and online sources.

Submission Process:

  • Submit your paper electronically via online submission system [link] or email to the Chief Editor at ngmcollegelibrary@gmail.com or to editor@ngmc.ac.in at the scheduled submission time.
  • Submissions sent outside the scheduled time-frame will be rejected.

Article Selection Policy:

  • We receive a high volume of submissions, exceeding one hundred articles per submission cycle.
  • We will only publish 20-30 original articles written in Tamil.
  • The Editor’s decision regarding article selection is final.
  • Important Notice Regarding English Language Submissions: Due to the high number of submissions generated by paper mills and AI in English, we are currently not accepting or evaluating English language articles. These submissions will be considered rejected.
  • The journal committee will open a case for submissions identified as malpractice or unethical methods (including those from paper mills and AI). The relevant higher official/Dean of Research at the author’s institution will be notified to take appropriate action.

Publication Costs (Bi-Yearly Subscription):

Author’s Responsibilities:

  • A complete list of references must be provided in both Tamil script and Roman script (English).
  • The citation style for your article should align with the discipline: MLA style for Literature studies, APA style for scientific methods, and Chicago style for History subjects.
  • Details regarding acknowledgements, conflicts of interest, and sources of financial support should be included at the end of the article.
  • Authors are responsible for promptly providing details of any necessary retractions or corrections to their published work.

ஆய்வுக் கட்டுரைக்கான வழிகாட்டு நெறிமுறைகள்

மொழி: தமிழ் மற்றும் ஆங்கிலம்

கட்டுரை வடிவம் மற்றும் அளவு:

  • ஆய்வுக் கட்டுரை ஏ4 தாளில் அமைய வேண்டும்.
  • எழுத்துரு அளவு: 12
  • வரி இடைவெளி: 1.5
  • பக்கங்களின் எண்ணிக்கை: 8 – 15 பக்கங்களுக்குள்
  • எழுத்துரு:
    • தமிழ்: லதா
    • ஆங்கிலம்: டைம்ஸ் நியூ ரோமன்
  • கணினி மூலம் தட்டச்சு செய்யப்பட்டிருக்க வேண்டும்.
  • அடிக்குறிப்புகள், பாடல் எண் (தேவைப்படும் இடங்களில்), பக்க எண் மற்றும் துணைநூல் பட்டியல் ஆகியவை கண்டிப்பாக இடம்பெற வேண்டும்.

தலைப்புப் பக்கம்:

  • ஆய்வுக் கட்டுரையின் தலைப்பு
  • சுருக்கமான தலைப்பு (Running Title)
  • ஆசிரியர் பெயர்
  • முகவரி
  • மின்னஞ்சல் முகவரி

ஆய்வுச் சுருக்கம் (Abstract):

  • 150 – 200 சொற்களுக்குள் ஆங்கிலத்தில் அமைந்திருக்க வேண்டும்.
  • தேவையற்ற சுருக்கக் குறியீடுகள் மற்றும் பின் குறிப்புகள் தவிர்க்கப்பட வேண்டும்.

குறியீட்டுச் சொற்கள் (Keywords):

  • 4 – 6 தூய தமிழ்ச் சொற்கள் குறியீடுகளாகப் பயன்படுத்தப்பட வேண்டும்.

கட்டுரையின் கட்டமைப்பு:

  • ஆய்வுக் கட்டுரைகள் உயர்ந்த தரத்துடன் அமைக்கப்பட வேண்டும். (உள்ளடக்கம், ஆய்வு முறை, முடிவுகள் போன்றவை தெளிவாகவும் முறையாகவும் அமைய வேண்டும்.)

குறிப்புகள் மற்றும் மேற்கோள்கள்:

  • தமிழ்: வகுளம் – சர்வதேசத் தமிழ் ஆய்விதழ் நிறுவனத்தின் ஆராய்ச்சி நெறிமுறைகள் பின்பற்றப்பட வேண்டும்.
  • ஆங்கிலம்: எம்.எல்.ஏ. (MLA) 8ஆம் பதிப்பின் தற்போதைய நடைமுறைகள் பின்பற்றப்பட வேண்டும்.
  • ஆய்வுச் சுருக்கத்தில் மேற்கோள்கள் தவிர்க்கப்பட வேண்டும்.
  • கட்டுரையில் பயன்படுத்தப்பட்ட மேற்கோள்கள் துல்லியமாக குறிப்பிடப்பட்டு, அவை குறிப்புப் பட்டியலில் இடம்பெற்றிருப்பதை உறுதி செய்ய வேண்டும்.

குறிப்புப் பட்டியல் (Bibliography):

  • பயன்படுத்தப்பட்ட அனைத்து ஆதாரங்களும் அகர வரிசையில் அமைய வேண்டும்.
  • புத்தகங்கள், ஆய்விதழ்கள், ஆய்வுக் கட்டுரைகள், ஆய்வேடுகள், இணையதள தரவுகள் உள்ளிட்ட அனைத்து வகை ஆதாரங்களையும் தெளிவாகக் குறிப்பிட வேண்டும்.

ஒப்படைப்பு முறை:

  • ஆய்வுக் கட்டுரைகளை குறிப்பிட்ட காலக்கெடுவிற்குள் பின்வரும் முறைகளில் சமர்ப்பிக்க வேண்டும்:
  • உரிய நேரத்தில் சமர்ப்பிக்கப்படாத கட்டுரைகள் நிராகரிக்கப்படும்.

கட்டுரை தேர்வு கொள்கை

ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் நூற்றுக்கணக்கான கட்டுரைகள் எங்களிடம் சமர்ப்பிக்கப்படுகின்றன. இருப்பினும், கட்டுரைகளின் தரம் மற்றும் ஆய்வுத் திறனை அடிப்படையாகக் கொண்டு, சிறந்த 20 முதல் 30 வரையிலான தமிழ்க் கட்டுரைகள் மட்டுமே எங்கள் வெளியீட்டிற்காகத் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்படும். கட்டுரைகளைத் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கும் இறுதி அதிகாரம் ஆசிரியர்குழுவினருக்கே உரியது.

பணத்திற்காகவோ அல்லது செயற்கை நுண்ணறிவு (AI) மூலமாகவோ உருவாக்கப்படும் தரம் குறைந்த ஆங்கிலக் கட்டுரைகள் அதிகளவில் சமர்ப்பிக்கப்படுவது கண்டறியப்பட்டுள்ளது. இத்தகைய கட்டுரைகள் ஆரம்ப நிலையிலேயே நிராகரிக்கப்படும். மேலும், இத்தகைய முறைகேடான சமர்ப்பிப்புகளுக்கு எதிராக ஆசிரியர் குழு விசாரணை மேற்கொண்டு, கட்டுரை நெறிமுறைகளுக்குப் புறம்பாக செயல்படும் மாணவர்கள், அறிஞர்கள் அல்லது ஆசிரியர்கள் மீது நடவடிக்கை எடுக்க நிறுவனத்தின் உயர்மட்ட அதிகாரி அல்லது டீன் அவர்களுக்கு அறிக்கை சமர்ப்பிக்கும்.

சந்தா மற்றும் வெளியீட்டு முறை

ஆய்வுக் கட்டுரைகள் பசுமைச் சூழலைக் கருத்தில் கொண்டு குறிப்பிட்ட தேதிகளில் இணையதளம் வாயிலாக மட்டுமே வெளியிடப்படும். சந்தா ஏதும் செலுத்தத் தேவையில்லை. ஆண்டிற்கு இரண்டு முறை மற்றும் சிறப்பு இதழ்கள் உட்பட அனைத்து வெளியீடுகளும் இணையதளத்தில் இலவசமாகப் பதிவேற்றப்படும்.

கட்டுரையாளரின் பொறுப்புகள்

கட்டுரையில் இடம்பெறும் முழுகுறிப்புப் பட்டியல் தமிழ் மற்றும் ஆங்கிலம் ஆகிய இரு மொழிகளிலும் சமர்ப்பிக்கப்பட வேண்டும். மேற்கோள்கள் வகுளம் – சர்வதேசத் தமிழ் ஆய்விதழ் மற்றும் MLA எட்டாம் பதிப்பு முறையிலும், அறிவியல் சார்ந்த கட்டுரைகளுக்கு APA முறையிலும், வரலாற்று ஆய்வுக் கட்டுரைகளுக்கு சிகாகோ (Chicago) முறையிலும் அமைய வேண்டும்.

கட்டுரையின் கடைசிப் பக்கத்தில், ஆய்வுக்கான ஒப்புதல், ஏதேனும் கருத்து வேறுபாடுகள் மற்றும் நிதி உதவி போன்ற விவரங்கள் குறிப்பிடப்பட வேண்டும். கட்டுரைகளை நீக்குவது அல்லது திருத்தங்கள் செய்வது தொடர்பான தகவல்கள் கட்டுரையாளர்களுக்குத் தெரிவிக்கப்படும். அத்தகைய மாற்றங்களைச் செய்ய வேண்டிய அவசியம் ஏற்படும்போது, கட்டுரையாளர்கள் அதற்கு ஒத்துழைப்பு அளிக்க வேண்டும்.
