In regards to the usage of experimental animals and human subjects in research, authors must seek approval from the appropriate institutional committee. Each research submission should include a clear statement of approval from the relevant ethical committee, whether it pertains to human or animal subjects. The Institutional Animal Ethics Committee must adhere to the “Principles of Laboratory Animal Care” and the material and methods section of the manuscript should confirm that informed consent was obtained and the investigation approved.
