Article Processing Fee

KIJTS Publishers operates under an Open Access publication policy, which ensures that articles are freely available online immediately upon publication. As a result, we do not generate revenue from selling subscriptions or imposing "pay-per-view" fees for our journals. The sustainability of our Open Access model relies on the Article Processing Charge (APC) or Publication fee, which authors are required to pay. This charge covers essential services, including systems for authors, editors, and reviewers, production, hosting, indexing, and support services. Without adequate funding to cover these necessary costs, we would be unable to maintain the high standards of service that we pride ourselves on. The APC must be settled upon the acceptance of an article, prior to publication.

The charges are as follows:

  • Regular Article Fee: Rs. 1500.00
  • Conference Article Fee: Rs. 1000.00

Note: These amounts include 18% taxes.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

  1. Who is responsible for paying the APC? The corresponding author is accountable for arranging payment upon the article's acceptance, as stipulated in the submission agreement.

  2. When should payment be made? Payment should be arranged by the corresponding author or the paying institution once they receive notification of the article's acceptance. Exceptions may apply in cases where a waiver agreement was established prior to submission. It is important to address the payment promptly, as articles will not be published until the fees are settled.

  3. What are the payment methods? Authors or their institutions may choose from two payment methods:

    • Bank transfer
    • UPI (GPay)

The corresponding author should contact the publisher's financial office to request an invoice for bank transfer after the article's acceptance. The office will provide detailed information regarding the payment procedure. After the payment is completed, the author must send a scanned copy of the payment receipt to the publisher and will receive an acknowledgment email confirming receipt of the payment.

  4. Am I eligible for a waiver on the APC? Waiver requests will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis, taking various criteria into account. Waiver applications must be submitted during the submission process and will not be considered after the manuscript has been processed.

  5. Do I have to pay if my manuscript is rejected? No, the APC is not charged for articles that are rejected by the Editorial office.

  6. Are reprints included in the APC? No, the Article Processing Charges do not cover reprints of the published article. Reprints are an optional service that can be ordered separately. For more information on reprint charges and requests, please visit the Reprints section.

Waiver Policy

KIJTS Publishers may grant waivers to authors who demonstrate financial hardship. To be eligible, authors must clearly show their inability to afford the manuscript handling fee. Waiver applications must be made by the corresponding authors during the submission phase and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Given the various costs associated with the publication process, only a limited number of waiver requests will be accommodated for each issue of the journal.

Refund Policy

Once an article has been accepted by the Editorial Board, the associated processing fees become the responsibility of the author. If an author decides to cancel the publication after final submission, acceptance, or publication, the fees already paid will not be refunded
