Following the collapse of the matriarchal society, gender disparities and inequalities became more pronounced. This article explores how linguistic efforts were employed to reinforce the principle of chastity expected of women within society. It specifically addresses how customs, enduring symbols regarded as myths, and narratives surrounding chastity kings contributed to shaping the character and virtuous self-image of Kannagi, along with the creative methods utilized in this process.
