Abstract

Literature is not merely a collection of imaginative creations, it serves as a mirror reflecting the beliefs, values, and way of life of people in different periods of society. In this  regard, the Thanipadal Thirattu vividly portrays the challenges faced by poets in royal courts as well as in ordinary social settings, while also highlighting the unwavering hope and confidence they maintained amidst hardships. The poems emphasize enduring beliefs such as “ Even in poverty, one should never abandon Tamil” “ The world ultimately honors the virtuous”, and “divine grace will always provide support.” These ideas form the central theme of the anthology. Despite suffering from difficulties and setbacks, the poets of ancient Tamil society expressed strong faith in their abilities, destiny, and perseverance through their compositions. The songs collected in Thanipadal thirattu continue to inspire courage , resilience ,and a positive outlook on life among readers today. They stand as timeless examples of optimism  and determination in the face of adversity. This study examines and analyzes the messages of hope, faith, and  confidence reflected in the Thanipadal Thirattu and their relevance to human life.
