Keywords:
Bharatanatyam, musicAbstract
Bharata dance is one of the classical dances of India. Music is the source of the art of dance. The music of Bharatha art is based on the ancient Tamil Isai developed by the Tamils and the later Carnatic music.
In the modern world, where films, social media and modern sound recording techniques are popular, the music for Bharatanatyam has become melodious and CD music. It is because of these innovations that the students of Bharatha art have become disrespectful and worthless of the Guru.
In particular, the music of Bharatha theatre is becoming melodious and has begun to dominate the dance forms of Bharatha art and the elegance of its audience. This study is based on the hypothesis that Bharatha dance halls are becoming at par with modern theatres.
