Abstract

The epic "Azhagin Sirippu" stands as a preeminent work among the creations of the Revolutionary Poet Bharathidasan. This article delves into the multifaceted elements embedded within that epic. Grounded in the significance accorded to love and valor in literature by Tamil life values, it explains how "Azhagin Sirippu" synergistically integrates nature worship, the dignity of love, village descriptions, and the unique excellence of Tamil. In accordance with the adage, "The beauty of the inner self is reflected on the face," this work proclaims aesthetics through the smile that mirrors the happiness of the heart. Therefore, this study establishes "Azhagin Sirippu" as a work of art that simultaneously conveys the splendor of nature that man ought to admire and cherish, and the joy of the Tamil language that one should savor and experience.
