Abstract

Furthermore, these texts serve as a crucial socio-historical repository, shedding light on the transition of ancient Tamil society from early tribal organization to structured agrarian and urban states. By applying a cultural anthropological framework to Ettuthogai, this study systematically analyzes how these literary representations reflect everyday practices, moral values, and governance systems. Ultimately, this research offers a comprehensive understanding of the foundational roots of Tamil cultural identity, providing invaluable insights into early South Asian civilization and its enduring heritage.
