Studies applying the scientific theory of structuralism to both traditional and modern narratives - thereby analyzing their constituent elements—have been conducted worldwide. Screenplays represent a further evolution of storytelling. Consequently, the objective of this study is to explore the feasibility of analyzing the elements of screenplays through the lens of structuralism. In this context, this research paper undertakes an analysis of selected films featuring M.G.R. and Sivaji by applying structuralist theory.
