South Indian films gaining popularity in China

With the recent release of the Tamil film "Majaraja" in China, an increasing number of South Indian films rather than Bollywood films have drawn the attention of both the authorities and the public in China over the past few years. This article presents the significant historical junctures of the introduction of Indian films to China, with a focus on the three fundamental channels through which South Indian films have been disseminated among Chinese audiences. Based on the first-hand data such as online comments of Chinese moviegoers, it analyzes the reasons for the growing popularity of South Indian films. Moreover, in accordance with the active audience theory proposed by the Birmingham School in the UK, it is confirmed that the audience is a social individual with subjectivity, initiative, and creativity. The fundamental reason for Chinese audiences' fondness of South Indian films lies in the high artistic value of the films themselves.
சீனாவில் தென்னிந்திய திரைப்படம் மென்மேலும் வரவேற்கப்பட்டு வருகிறது. கடந்த 70ஆண்டுகளாக சீனாவிலான இந்திய திரைப்படப் பரவல் நிலைமை மாறி வருகிறது. இக்கட்டுரை முதலில் இந்திய திரைப்படம் சீனாவுக்கு இறக்குமதி செய்யப்பட்ட வரலாற்றை அறிமுகப்படுத்துகிறது. இரண்டாம் பகுதி, தென்னிந்திய திரைப்படம் சீனாவில் பரவும் 3 முக்கிய வழிமுறைகளை அறிமுகப்படுத்தும். வெவ்வேறு வழியில் சீனாவுக்கு வந்த திரைப்படங்கள் பற்றிய சீன ரசிகர்களின் கருத்துக்களையும் எடுத்துரையும். கடைசி பகுதி, சீன ரசிகர்கள் தென்னிந்திய திரைப்படங்களை நேசிக்கும் காரணங்களை ஆராய்க்கிறது.
