What is ‘Kalanjiyam’?

The name “Kalanjiyam” (களஞ்சியம்), meaning ‘treasure trove’ or ‘repository’, perfectly encapsulates our vision: to serve as a global repository for cutting-edge research in Tamil Studies. Launched in 2024, our journal aims to foster a dynamic academic environment where scholars from around the world can share their insights and contribute to a deeper understanding of Tamil heritage and its contemporary relevance.

களஞ்சியம் – சர்வதேசத் தமிழ் ஆய்விதழ் உங்களை வரவேற்பதில் பெருமகிழ்ச்சி கொள்கிறது. இது, தமிழ் மொழி, இலக்கியம், வரலாறு, பண்பாடு மற்றும் அதன் பல்வேறு பல்துறை இணைப்புகள் ஆகியவற்றின் செழுமையான கலவையைக் களமாகக் கொண்ட ஒரு முன்னோடி திறந்த அணுகல் (Open Access), சகமதிப்பாய்வு செய்யப்பட்ட (Peer-Reviewed), பல்துறை சார்ந்த (Multidisciplinary) காலாண்டு கல்விசார் இந்திய ஆய்விதழ் ஆகும்.

பொள்ளாச்சி, நல்லமுத்து கவுண்டர் மகாலிங்கம் கல்லூரி, நூலகத் துறையால் பதிப்பிக்கப்படும் ‘களஞ்சியம்’, உயர்தர ஆராய்ச்சிகளைப் பரப்புவதற்கான ஒரு முன்னணி உலகளாவிய தளமாக உயரத் தயாராக உள்ளது.

‘களஞ்சியம்’ என்றால் என்ன?

“களஞ்சியம்” (Kalanjiayam) என்ற பெயர், ‘புதையல் பெட்டகம்’ அல்லது ‘சேமிப்பகம்’ என்ற பொருளைக் குறிக்கிறது. இது எங்கள் நோக்கத்தை மிகச் சரியாகச் சுருக்கிக் காட்டுகிறது: அதாவது, தமிழ் ஆய்வுகளில் உள்ள நவீன ஆராய்ச்சிகளுக்கான உலகளாவிய சேமிப்பகமாகச் செயல்படுவது.

2024 ஆம் ஆண்டு தொடங்கப்பட்ட எங்கள் ஆய்விதழ், உலகெங்கிலும் உள்ள அறிஞர்கள் தங்கள் நுண்ணறிவைப் பகிர்ந்து கொள்ளவும், தமிழ் மரபு மற்றும் அதன் சமகால பொருத்தப்பாடு குறித்த ஆழமான புரிதலுக்கு பங்களிக்கவும் ஒரு துடிப்பான கல்விக் களத்தை வளர்ப்பதை நோக்கமாகக் கொண்டுள்ளது.
