Review policy
The journal uses double-blind peer review. Each submission is assessed by two subject experts who judge its fit with the journal’s standards and the quality of the research. If revision is needed, the same reviewers assess the revised paper. Reviewers declare any conflict of interest, point out relevant literature the author has missed, and keep the process confidential.
Publication ethics and malpractice statement
Kalanjiyam follows the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
- Authors must submit original work, acknowledge all sources, and never fabricate or falsify data.
- Editors evaluate manuscripts only on academic merit and keep every submission confidential.
- Reviewers give objective, timely and confidential assessments and declare conflicts of interest.
Suspected misconduct is investigated. Where it is confirmed, the article is retracted, the author’s institution may be informed, and further submissions from the author may be refused. Corrections, retractions and clarifications are announced publicly on this site.
Plagiarism policy
Plagiarism is a serious breach of scholarly integrity. All submissions are screened with similarity-detection software; manuscripts above 10% similarity are rejected, and published articles found to be plagiarised are retracted.
Article selection
Each submission cycle receives many more papers than can be published, and only original Tamil-language research is selected. Because of a rise in paper-mill and AI-generated submissions, full papers written in English are no longer accepted. The editor’s decision on selection is final.
