This article explains how Tamils gained a foothold in Singapore in the early days, how Tamil education began and took root despite many hardships, the high status that the Tamil language has attained due to the bilingual education policy. It also explains the development of Tamil literature in Singapore, the media that contribute to the development of the Tamil language, etc.
இந்தக் கட்டுரை சிங்கப்பூரில் தமிழர்கள் தொடக்க காலத்தில் காலூன்றிய விதம், தமிழ்க்கல்வி தொடங்கிப் பல இன்னல்களைக் கடந்து வேரூன்றிய விதம், இருமொழிக் கல்விக்கொள்கையால் தமிழ்மொழி பெற்றிருக்கும் உன்னத நிலை ஆகியவற்றை விளக்குகிறது. அத்துடன், சிங்கப்பூர்த் தமிழ் இலக்கிய வளர்ச்சி, தமிழ்மொழி வளர்ச்சிக்குப் பங்காற்றும் ஊடகங்கள் முதலானவற்றைப் பற்றி விளக்குகிறது.
