Economic Contradictions and Perspectives on Life in Na. Parthasarathy's Novels

Pleasure and pain are inextricably intertwined in human life; similarly, contradictions and harmony operate in unison. Marxist critics approach literature by viewing individual actions as integral components of an economic system. The writer positions himself as both a social scientist—meticulously analyzing societal conditions—and a social reformer. Na. Pa. (Na. Parthasarathy), who embodied these qualities, fully recognized the pivotal role of economics in social progress and illustrated this through his novels. Just as literary works are re-read and adapted to suit changing times, the society that prioritizes economic realities takes precedence within the literary landscape.
