1. 🔓 Open Access & Licensing Policy

KALANJIYAM is committed to the immediate and free availability of research.

  • Open Access Statement: This is an open-access journal, which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or their institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author.

  • Licensing: All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).

  • User Rights: Under this license, others are free to share and adapt the work, provided appropriate credit is given.

2. ⚖️ Publication Ethics & Malpractice Statement

KALANJIYAM follows the COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines to ensure the highest standards of integrity.

  • Author Responsibilities: * Authors must ensure work is entirely original.

    • Proper acknowledgment of sources is mandatory.

    • Data fabrication or falsification is strictly prohibited.

  • Editor Responsibilities: * Editors evaluate manuscripts exclusively on their academic merit.

    • Confidentiality of all submitted manuscripts is maintained.

  • Plagiarism Policy: 🚫 We utilize plagiarism detection software. Any manuscript exceeding [Insert %, e.g., 10%] similarity (excluding references) will be rejected immediately.

  • Malpractice Handling: In cases of alleged misconduct, the journal will follow COPE flowcharts to conduct an investigation.

3. 🛡️ Peer Review & Editorial Process

DOAJ requires a clear description of the quality control process.

  • Review Type: Double-Blind Peer Review. Neither the author nor the reviewer knows each other’s identity.

  • Reviewer Selection: Manuscripts are sent to at least two independent subject matter experts.

  • Decision Criteria: 1. Originality and contribution to Tamil studies. 2. Methodological rigor. 3. Adherence to ethical guidelines.

  • Timeline: * Initial Screen: 7–10 days.

    • Review Process: 4–6 weeks.

  • Final Decision: The Chief Editor holds the final authority based on reviewer recommendations.

4. 🗄️ Archiving & Digital Preservation

To ensure long-term access to scholarly content, KALANJIYAM employs a multi-layered archiving strategy.

  • Digital Preservation: All issues are deposited in the Internet Archive to ensure a permanent record.

  • Self-Archiving Policy: Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their submitted version (pre-print) and the published version (version of record) on personal websites or institutional repositories.

To pass the DOAJ inspection, ensure the following links are easily visible in your website footer:

  1. Copyright Terms: Author retains copyright without restrictions.

  2. Repository Policy: Clear statement on where the data is stored.

  3. Unique URLs: Every article must eventually have its own landing page (URL) and a DOI (Digital Object Identifier).

1. 🔓 திறந்தநிலை அணுகல் கொள்கை (Open Access Policy)

எமது ஆய்விதழ் ‘திறந்தநிலை அணுகல்’ (Open Access) முறையைப் பின்பற்றுகிறது.

  • கொள்கை: ஆய்வுக் கட்டுரைகள் அனைத்தும் இணையதளத்தில் இலவசமாகக் கிடைக்கும். வாசகர்கள் எவ்விதக் கட்டணமும் இன்றி கட்டுரைகளைப் படிக்கவும், பதிவிறக்கம் செய்யவும், பகிரவும் உரிமை உண்டு.

  • நோக்கம்: தமிழ் ஆய்வுகள் உலகம் முழுவதும் உள்ள அறிஞர்களை எளிதில் சென்றடைய வேண்டும் என்பதே எமது நோக்கம்.

2. ⚖️ வெளியீட்டு அறநெறிக் கொள்கை (Publication Ethics Policy)

ஆய்வு நேர்மையைப் பேண COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) வழிகாட்டுதல்களை நாங்கள் பின்பற்றுகிறோம்.

  • ஆசிரியர் பொறுப்பு: கட்டுரைகள் முற்றிலும் உண்மையானதாகவும், பிற இதழ்களில் சமர்ப்பிக்கப்படாததாகவும் இருத்தல் வேண்டும். தரவு திருத்தல் அல்லது போலியான தகவல்கள் தருவது முற்றிலும் தடைசெய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது.

  • ஆசிரியர் குழு பொறுப்பு: கட்டுரைகள் அவற்றின் கல்வித் தரத்தின் அடிப்படையில் மட்டுமே மதிப்பீடு செய்யப்படும்; ஆசிரியரின் தனிப்பட்ட பின்னணி கணக்கில் கொள்ளப்படாது.

  • கருத்துத் திருட்டு (Plagiarism): கருத்துத் திருட்டுக்கு எதிரான கடுமையான கொள்கையை நாங்கள் கொண்டுள்ளோம். அனைத்துக் கட்டுரைகளும் மென்பொருள் மூலம் பரிசோதிக்கப்படும்.

3. 🛡️ மதிப்பீட்டுக் கொள்கை (Peer Review Policy)

கட்டுரைகளின் தரத்தை உறுதி செய்ய இரட்டை மறைநிலை மதிப்பீட்டு (Double-Blind Peer Review) முறை பின்பற்றப்படுகிறது.

  • செயல்முறை: கட்டுரையை மதிப்பீடு செய்பவருக்கு ஆசிரியரின் பெயர் தெரியாது; அதுபோலவே, ஆசிரியருக்கு மதிப்பீட்டாளரின் பெயர் தெரியாது.

  • முடிவு: இரு வல்லுநர்களின் பரிந்துரையின் அடிப்படையில், முதன்மை ஆசிரியர் கட்டுரையை ஏற்பது அல்லது நிராகரிப்பது குறித்து இறுதி முடிவு எடுப்பார்.

4. ©️ பதிப்புரிமை மற்றும் உரிமக் கொள்கை (Copyright & Licensing)

  • பதிப்புரிமை: கட்டுரையின் பதிப்புரிமை (Copyright) ஆசிரியரிடமே இருக்கும்.

  • உரிமம்: எமது இதழில் வெளியாகும் கட்டுரைகள் Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) உரிமத்தின் கீழ் வெளியிடப்படுகின்றன. இதன்படி, மூல ஆசிரியரின் பெயரை முறையாகக் குறிப்பிட்டு, கட்டுரையை யார் வேண்டுமானாலும் பயன்படுத்தலாம்.

5. 🗄️ ஆவணக் காப்பகக் கொள்கை (Archiving Policy)

ஆய்வுக் கட்டுரைகள் நீண்ட காலம் அழியாமல் இருப்பதை உறுதி செய்ய பின்வரும் காப்பக முறைகளைப் பயன்படுத்துகிறோம்:

  • Internet Archive: அனைத்து இதழ்களும் டிஜிட்டல் முறையில் இங்கே ஆவணப்படுத்தப்படுகின்றன.

  • Self-Archiving: ஆசிரியர்கள் தங்களது கட்டுரையின் வெளியிடப்பட்ட வடிவத்தை (Version of Record) தங்களது சொந்த இணையதளங்கள் அல்லது கல்விச் சார்ந்த தளங்களில் (ResearchGate, Academia.edu) பதிவேற்ற அனுமதிக்கப்படுகிறார்கள்.

6. 🛠️ திருத்தம் மற்றும் திரும்பப் பெறுதல் கொள்கை (Correction & Retraction Policy)

  • திருத்தம் (Correction): கட்டுரையில் சிறு பிழைகள் இருப்பின், ஒரு திருத்த அறிக்கை (Errata) வெளியிடப்படும்.

  • திரும்பப் பெறுதல் (Retraction): ஒரு கட்டுரையில் மிகப்பெரிய தரவுப் பிழைகளோ அல்லது அறநெறி மீறல்களோ கண்டறியப்பட்டால், அந்தக் கட்டுரை அதிகாரப்பூர்வமாகத் திரும்பப் பெறப்படும்.

7. 🆓 வெளியீட்டுக் கட்டணக் கொள்கை (APC Policy)

  • கட்டணம்: எமது ஆய்விதழில் கட்டுரை சமர்ப்பிக்கவோ அல்லது வெளியிடவோ ஆசிரியர்களிடமிருந்து எவ்விதக் கட்டணமும் (No Article Processing Charges) வசூலிக்கப்படுவதில்லை. இது முற்றிலும் இலவசச் சேவையாகும்.
