It is only among rural people that these poems can be found in their authentic form. Conversely, a film song that mocks the traditional lullaby has become a symbol of urban life. These musical expressions resonate with the innermost feelings of rural folk. Their thoughts, yearnings, dreams, aspirations, and aversions serve as reflections of their culture and customs. From the moment of birth—through growth and the journey of life—until the final passage to the cremation ground, music and song accompany every stage of existence.
