Abstract

The oldest Literature in the Tamil language is the Sangam literature, which is classified as the most ancient literature. That literature is divided into Akam and Puram categories on the basis of disciplines. In internal literature, subject fields are used as references to convey information. That method is used for the concentration of ideas and for expression of ideas. Tolkappiyar defined the subject – fields. Furthermore, kinship, plants, animals, religion, rituals, costumes, clothing, dwelling, utensils, household words, politics, many kind of food, sculptures, architecture, communication, business, war, sports and entertainment, colors, measurements, festivals, rituals, medical methods, cosmetics, transportation, science, special names, nature, characteristics, etc., can be included in the subject field. Like singular words, compound words also have a subject relationship. By examining the semantic relationship of compound words, the semantic creation of compound words can also be revealed. This article examines the topic using this content strategy.
